2025 Melbourne Cup Appeal
Billed as “the race that stops the nation”, the Melbourne Cup is Australia’s best known horse race.
It is the one day of the year when the thoughts of many Australians turn to horse racing.
But behind the glitz and glamour is a large group of people, drawn together by their love of horses, who work all year round behind the scenes in what is often a high stress and injury-prone industry. The racing chaplains are also there behind the scenes to provide pastoral care to the people who work in this industry.

How many jobs do you know where an ambulance follows you around while you work?
Our chaplains support the many participants who are injured each year whilst working with horses.
We aim to share the love of Jesus by serving the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of people in Australia’s racing industry.
