Vale Colin Watts Snr.
On Tuesday 3rd December, 2024, harness racing lost one of the greats with the passing of Colin Watts OAM. Colin, aged 97, was highly respected, not only for his ability as a horseman, but also for his administrative skills in the harness racing industry. Colin gave a lifelong dedication to the sport and in 2020 he was awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia for his services to harness racing.
Colin Watts Snr. was the father of our National Chaplain, the Rev. Colin Watts.
