We were saddened to hear of the passing of Ian Thomson last week after a five-month battle with cancer.
Ian was the father of Riharna Thomson who died tragically in March 2017 as a result of a trackwork accident at Thoroughbred Park racecourse. Ian was previously a publican in the little town of Walcha, north-east of Tamworth where Riharna grew up, but then relocated to Nelson Bay.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Ian’s family and friends, especially Bekk, Carolyn, Colin, Braden and Bessie.
Ian’s funeral will be at Anna Bay Tavern (124 Gan Gan Rd) on Friday 21 July 2023 commencing at 1:30pm. ARCC National Chaplain, Rev Colin Watts, will offficiate.
